Michelle Pearson Cooper b.1957

Michelle grew up surrounded by animals so it is no
surprise that dogs, cats, and horses became the focal
point of her career. After leaving school, she studied
with Nerina Simi in Florence and went on to have her
first solo exhibition, at the age of 21, in Bond Street,
London. She has since exhibited with Fine Art Com -
missions in Cork Street; Osborne Studio Gallery in
Belgravia; La Galleria, Pall Mall; The Showcase Gallery
in Dubai; and other leading London based galleries.

‘ This gentle giant, I was lucky enough to spend some
time observing at quite close range at Gondwana Game
Reserve in the Western Cape, South Africa, home to the
southern most elephant herds in the world.

The young Majingilane Lion was resting in the shade
at Londolozi, in the Kruger National Park. His fore -
fathers, the Majingilane Brothers, were born in the
Orpen area and wandered into the reserve in 2010
where they domi nated five prides. The four brothers
were named accord ing to their prominent physical
features, Dark Mane, Golden Mane, Scar-Nose, and
Hip-Scar. This aggressive team managed to take power
over the infamous Mapogo male lion coalition.
