Page 9 - Fine Art Commissions: Go Wild!
P. 9
Max Denison-Pender b.1997
Since his first solo exhibition, in 2019, The Heart of
London, in Kensington, was a sell-out, Max’s career has
gone from strength to strength, attracting new patrons
and note worthy commissions. His work is driven by
a desire to depict ‘Art in the Extreme’, painting in situ,
in his alla prima (wet on wet) painting style. Painting
adven tures have included depicting volcanoes erupting
in Iceland and encounters with jaguars in the Amazon
jungle. His latest exhibition, Leaving Home, focussed
on his time on the frontline in Ukraine and has drawn
inter national acclaim.
‘ The Amazon is a terrifying but beautiful place. After
spend ing three months in the heart of the jungle,
in Atalaia de Norte, I came back to England to put
my experience onto paper.
These paintings are depicted from my expeditions in
the jungle, more than 48 hours away from medical help.
We clambered over snakes and tarantulas to find the
’
largest trees we could.
